Nick’s entire career has been based on service of clients and his community. Beginning with his law enforcement career and extending through his sales and finance career, Nick has perfected his ability to meticulously plan, communicate and execute strategies on behalf of clients and the community at large. His business philosophy is to leave nothing to chance – Proper planning with contingencies typically solves most problems. This skill set has allowed Nick to perform due diligence by properly inspecting and assessing each hotel, resort, restaurant, and service provider to ensure they are properly vetted, and can deliver on his vision of luxury travel with the same level of care and customer service – the cornerstones upon which Nick has built his career.
Over the course of several years, what started as annual trips to Italy have morphed into a deep, unrelenting passion to pursue hidden gems in the lesser-known regions of Italy. Nick travels to Italy routinely in search of yet even more unique experiences – the kind that are talked about at family gatherings and cocktail parties. Nick’s approach to travel is simple – there is no substitute for experiencing new adventures during the day, and returning to luxury lodging in the evening… with a little truffle hunting, horseback riding, bike riding, boat rides, and a lot of wine tastings in between.
Sofia is a native Italian, born and raised in the small hilltop town of Fermo in the Marche Region of Central Italy where she continues to live today. Since childhood, Sofia has remained true to the traditions of countryside living – harvesting fresh vegetables from the family garden, making toast with homemade jams spread on freshly baked homemade breads, collecting daily fresh eggs from the henhouse, making fresh pasta, and participating in the family’s annual harvesting of olives to make their own delicious olive oil.
But above all, Sofia’s fondest childhood memories come from when she worked alongside her grandfather, learning the craft of making fine wine. She learned the art of growing the finest grapes of multiple varieties, when to harvest them, how to ferment them to perfection, and aging the product in oak barrels to ultimately produce the perfect bottle of wine. Having developed this passion, Sofia chose to study oenology and become a certified wine maker, or an oenologist. She’s also a certified sommelier with a vast knowledge of all of the grape varieties and great wines that the regions of Marche, Umbria, Abruzzo and Molise represent. These regions still remain relatively unexplored by tourism, and Sofia is driven to introduce them to discerning travel clients.
Sofia takes advantage of every encounter with our clients to deliver experiences that highlight the true, hidden Italy. She passionately shares her family’s and country’s traditions and strives to leave a piece of her roots, knowledge, and passion in each of our clients to ensure they too experience the deep, hidden gems that comprise these regions.
